We love CT Farms. We love the open space, the historic towns, the people and all the great farms within it! The local products are so fresh, tasty and are truly amazing!

We started in Greenwich CT. We loved our trips up to Litchfield County CT and bringing home all the goodness of the local farms. However, we couldn’t quite get the same quality readily available at home. At the same time we wanted more. More knowledge of HOW, WHERE and WHO grows our food. We wanted away from processed foods as much as possible!

Of course we all want the best food for our families. We started to inquire where does our mass produced food come from, and how is it grown and handled before it reaches our plates? Grocery-store “fresh” often isn’t that at all — produce is picked too early, shipped long distances in gases, and losing flavor and nutrients along the way. What was it sprayed with? How was it stored? Sadly those answers are usually unknown.

Local farms do things different from mass production farms. Its cleaner and just taste better. You can meet the farmers who grow/produce it! The scarcity of farms in Fairfield County, and busy schedules, work commitments, and kids’ activities make it hard to find time to visit farmers’ markets or pick up directly from growers. We needed a better system.

We became motivated to start our own farm and grow food like it’s supposed to be. You know where it comes from, you know how its grown and you can even visit the farms. Even better its not sitting in a truck for days! As we have grown we began to partner with other farms and local craftsmen to bring their excellence to you! These are some of the best farms across the state to bringing their awesome, creative products to you! CT Farm Direct was born to be better!
